The Clarks

The car is a 1929 L-29 Cord, a true masterpiece. This photo was taken in Auburn, Indiana at a home styled after Frank Lloyd Wright’s designs. Ken was in Auburn in November a few years back and wanted to get some photos of his car along with a friend’s L-29 that he had restored. It wasn’t the warmest November, but wasn’t the coldest day that I’ve seen him drive an L-29, but we drove all over town and beyond taking photographs at different locations along the way.
The coldest ride that day was in the 1932 L-29 Phaeton. Partly because we couldn’t get the top up. We were stopped at a stop light on State Road 8 in town and a friend pulled up beside the car. He later commented on my red nose. Yes, it was cold, but riding in the L-29′s were well worth the bitter cold, not so much because they were L-29′s, but the driver was Ken. Ken and his wife, Tuyet, are more than friends, they’re family and I’m honored to call them just that, family.
The photo above looks amazing printed as a 12×18 metallic print.
